2024 Color of the Year by Pantone

Hunter Douglas Duette® Cellular Shades

Since 1999, the Pantone Color Institute has selected a Color of the Year that both reflects where we are and defines where we’re going. Soon, this color will pop up everywhere, and many people will wonder about how to add it to their homes. At Windows, Walls & More here in West Bloomfield, we can help with that. Read on to learn about this year’s color!

About the 2024 PANTONE Color of the Year

For the past 25 years, the Pantone Color of the Year has inspired manufacturers in industries such as home furnishings, industrial design, fashion, and more. Through things like trend forecasts and color psychology, the Pantone Color Institute helps global brands design products that call on the power and emotion of color. Last year’s Color of the Year was bold Viva Magenta. For 2024, it is the softer PANTONE Peach Fuzz 13-1023, which has an “all-embracing spirit” that “enriches heart, mind, and body.”

About the Color Peach Fuzz

In response to the tumult we’ve experienced both in the United States and around the world lately, the Pantone Color Institute chose a “heartfelt peach hue bringing a feeling of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.” Peach Fuzz is a “gentle” peach that is “poetic and romantic…with a vintage vibe” that “has been refashioned with a contemporary ambiance.” You’ll be seeing Peach Fuzz all around in the very near future. In fact, Pantone has already started several collaborations using the color: Motorola phones, Spoonflower designs, CARIUMA shoes, Ruggables, and more.

Adding Peach Fuzz to Your Home

Warm, soft, and cozy, Peach Fuzz will bring a welcoming aesthetic to your home. You can add it through paint color, home décor, or bedroom staples. And you can mix it with complementary colors, such as rose or bright yellow. You can find hints of or complements to Peach Fuzz in many Hunter Douglas window fashions, including Pirouette® Sheer Shades, Designer Roller Shades, Modern Precious Metals® Blinds, and more. You could also find it in the numerous fabrics with our custom drapery options, where you can design side panels or drapery to enrich your home.
