Color Can Make a Big Impact on a Room
Whatever your style preferences, most often, the single fastest way to make an impact on the look and feel of a room is to add color—whether it’s just a pop or a huge splash of a new color. However, at Windows, Walls & More here in West Bloomfield, we know that many of our customers feel lost in a sea of color and get stuck trying to choose the best one. Which is why we like to suggest some from time to time, including the colors that are trending on the market. Read on to learn more!
Trending Colors in Interior Design
One thing to remember about color trends is that they’re just that—trends. So if you don’t really like the popular colors that are out today, don’t worry—new trends will come along. And if you find that you really love what’s out there, that’s OK too—your home is your personal style, and if the colors you like aren’t “hot,” it only matters that you feel comfortable within your walls. So enjoy your color search and go with what you love. Meanwhile, check out a few of the trends we’re noticing today:
- Blues. Go with something softer than navy and warmer than denim, or choose a bolder shade—just be sure to balance it with neutral colors like white or gray in the room
- Vibrant Citrus Colors, such as bright yellow, electrified coral, or zaps of orange, which speak to a carefree positivity in the space
Terracotta is definitely making a comeback this year with its earthy essence and Southwest flair - Tinted Gray. Gray has long been popular in interior design, and now we’re seeing a move to add different tints to give it more life and personality. For example, you might find it tinted with purples, blues, or greens
- Dark Green. Especially if it offers hints of gray, darker green is definitely on trend
