How Designer Banded Shades Work
Designer Banded Shades are unusual and beautiful, and having them on the window is a lot like getting two shades in one. You’ll get the functionality of a roller shade and the elegance of a sheer, with visual appeal for days. The shade creates dimensions of light through movement because it has two portions, a solid banded part and a sheer. When you lift or lower either portion, you’ll either shift the bands to overlap each other (when that happens, you’ll get view-through in the sheer portion) or to align with each other (when that happens, you’ll create a solid shade to provide privacy, close out light, and control UV rays). These shades work great on large walls of glass or picture windows. They can also cover bay and corner windows, sliding glass doors, patio doors, and French doors. Their fabric-wrapped header makes for a sleek at-window appearance. Plus, you can choose from three band heights and will find the perfect fabric in the large selection that includes numerous textures, colors, and geometric patterns.
